Best Vacation Spot Disney Resort for Families Polynesian Resort

Best Disney Resort for Families Polynesian Resort

Hi Everyone

Just got back from a great girls weekend with my daughter, good friend and her daughter. We are major disney fans and love going as often as we can. We decide to stay for 3 nights at a hotel that we were dying to stay at. The Disney Polynesian is a beautiful Hotel and it makes you feel as if you are in Hawaii but you get to go to Disneyworld at the same time! If you are looking for lush surroundings, and excellent service smack dab in the middle of Walt Disney World, the the Polynesian resort is perfect for you!

I stayed at this resort in July 2013 and I got so much more than what I expected. You definitely get your money's worth at this Disney hotel!

The best part about staying at this hotel is that the Monorail travels right through the hotel to the Magic Kingdom! Instead of waiting for a bus to take you to the Magic Kingdom, the monorail is just a short walk away. Stopping at the Contemporary, the Grand Floridian, and the Transportation/Ticket Center, it only takes a few minutes to make your way to Disney's first park. It was wonderful to go to the second floor and hop on even at 9:00 at night. Then when we got back it was the best not to have to fight all the crowds to go back to a packed parking lot.

The Service is Superb! Disney treats you like Kings and Queens at the Polynesian. The rooms are made up late enough so that you can get ready for a day of fun but early enough so they are ready upon your return. Everything that you need is just a phone call away at the front desk, whether you need toiletries or a reservation at a restaurant. If I called for extra towels to fixing my fridge they came fast and were friendly.

The Volcano pool is great for those of all ages! The Polynesian now has its own volcano! Of course, this volcano is really a slide that takes you twisting and turning right into a big pool! It's a lot of fun! Also near the pool area is a bar and a sandy beach if you prefer sitting right outside the Seven Seas Lagoon. My daughter and her friends enjoyed playing on the slide. And when we got hungry I walked over to Capt. Cooks and bought snacks and food back to the pool. Great:)

Entertainment! If you have never been to a Luau, then try one out at the Polynesian! Great food and great entertainment at the same time take place every night at the Polynesian. If you are looking for a nice sit down restaurant, try Ohana. You can even take the kids here for a character breakfast. And even if you would like to rent a pontoon boat or a water sprite, a rental place is right at your fingertips!

The 24 hour Snack Bar!Unlike many other of the deluxe hotels, the Polynesian has a 24 hour snack bar where you can get drinks, sandwiches, breakfast foods the traditional chicken fingers, and much more. Disney offers a special $20 drinking mug here which allows you to have unlimited soft drinks throughout your stay! (It really DOES save you a lot of money!).

Kona Restaurant Was a very yummy place to eat. We ate breakfast their and I ordered the Big Kahuna - French Toast, pancakes, eggs your way, home fried potatoes, ham, bacon, and sausage. - $11.99. Loved it and it offered a nice variety and was very reasonably priced.

The Scenery is BREATHTAKING!Whether you are looking out of your room window or just standing out by the pool, beautiful plants of all colors are found everywhere. If you stand for a picture with your back to the lagoon, you will get a great picture with the Grand Floridian, Cinderella's Castle, Space Mountain, and The Contemporary in the background. Everywhere you look, you see beauty.

The ROOMS! Every room at the Polynesian is a nice size with 2 queen beds, couch, desk, a big TV and a very large bathroom. One of my favorite things about the room was that it had a curtain for the window that actually kept every inch of sunlight from reaching the room just in case I wanted to sleep in the next morning. The shower and bathroom were kept very clean.

The Pros DEFINITELY Weigh Out the Cons:
There aren't that many flaws that I found during my stay at this resort. Besides being a little bit pricy. if you look for deals and they can be found. It is worth staying here.

If you have never stayed at this resort and are looking for a new hotel experience, definitely try out the Polynesian! I know you'll enjoy it!
