Visting Orlando and need a fun place to stay

If you are going to Disney world and need a fun place to stay then I would say to check out this location. The Sheraton Vistana Resort located minutes from Disney World and Sea World Theme parks.

Let me give you a little background on me. First I love Disney and all that has to do with Disney World . My family and I love going and spending time there. Even if it is a weekend or a week we try to plan our vacations to enjoy what they have to offer. If you follow my blog will will get many tips on where to stay, eat. some neat time savers and tricks on what to do to save money on your vacation.

One good thing about living in South Florida is being only 3 1/2 miles away from the most magical place on Earth.

The first thing you need to do before you go to Disney World is to plan where to stay. Now planning where to stay depends on a few things.

1. Do you have a car or renting a car.
2. Do you plan on going to just more then the Disney Theme parks..

If you answered  to these questions then staying off of Disney Property is good for you. If you said no to these questions then maybe staying on Disney property would be better for you. We will discuss staying on Disney property on another entry.

Today I want to discuss with you a great resort that we have stayed in several times and the pros of staying off property. Also this hotel if you book in advance has some great deals to be had. I would check on travelocity, expedia and other travel sites to see who has the best deal. Book at least 6 months in advance that is usually when I find the best prices.

We stayed at the Sheraton Vistana Resort a few weeks ago and had a great time. This resort has many great things to offer a family. First this resort is very close to the Disney theme parks as well as Sea World and Aquatica (one of my favorites). So if you have a car this is a good place to stay.  They offer one and 2 bedroom units which is great for a larger family or multiple families can stay in one unit which will same you some $$. That is what my friend and I did on this vacation. On this trip was my husband, myself, my daughter, my best friend and her daughter. We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit and it was perfect.

Our unit was very clean had a nice kitchen with granite counters, full fridge, micowave, oven and plenty of work space. It also had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.Plus all that is listed below. Great unit for a family.
  • 1,025 Square Feet / 95 Square Meters
  • Iron and Ironing Board
  • Oversized Whirlpool Tub
  • Screened and Furnished Private Patio or Balcony
  • Built-in Hairdryer
  • Patio/Balcony Ceiling Fan
  • Three telephones
  • Guest Bedroom with Two Double Beds
  • Sleeps up to Eight Guests
  • Dining Area with Seating for Six
  • Guest Bedroom - 2 Twins or 2 Double Beds
  • Breakfast Bar with Seating for Two
  • Two Bathrooms with Showers
  • Self-cleaning Oven
  • Three Color TVs
  • Flatware and Service for Eight
  • Master Bath with Walk-in Shower
The grounds are also very nice and maintained. They have lots of activities for the kids at the pool as well as an activity center for the kids. The staff is very friendly and if you are kind they will try to accommodate your needs. If you want something special just ask and they will try there best.

You can also see more on to learn more and see more pics of the grounds, rooms and reviews.

As far as where to stay on property I would ask for a room in the cascades that is where we stayed which was nicely renovated.  We were on the first flower which I thought would be a pain but it worked out rather well. We just had to get out of the car and walk to the room. Also the buildings are not that large so there is not much noise or traffic  to deal with.
